Taco
Bell Indianapolis Association president, Charlie
Brown, has assembled a team of dedicated and skilled
Taco Bell restaurant management to organize the
massive volunteer efforts. “Giving back to
the communities in which we live and work is a core
value for Taco Bell,” said Brown. “This
whirl-wind day of service is about more than a monetary
donation, it is a chance for us to roll up our sleeves,
get our hands dirty and spend an entire day making
a significant difference in our local community.”
Annually,
all 82 Indianapolis area Taco Bell restaurants raise
money with help from the Indianapolis Colts through
both in-store and on-the-field fundraisers. All
money collected benefits the “Touchdown for
Teens” program.
To
raise money in-store, Taco Bell restaurants asked
customers to donate $1 in exchange for a free crunchy
beef taco. Through this fundraiser Taco Bell restaurants
have raised $60,000 in 2007. Since 2002, Indianapolis
area restaurants have raised more than $300,000
to benefit the various Boys & Girls Clubs of
Central Indiana.
Additionally
throughout the 2007 football season, Taco Bell will
donate $100 for every touchdown the Colts score.
One hundred percent of the net profits will go toward
various Boys & Girls Clubs in Central Indiana.
Since 2005, the Colts have made 110 touchdowns scoring
$11,000 for local Boys & Girls Clubs.
